More San Antonio

Sunday took us to Six Flags...and we had an AWESOME time!  Very low crowds, overcast for the first part of the day, and kids up for LOTS of adventure!  Our kids are really at perfect ages for six flags...and while Bennett didn't ride many thrill rides, I did watch him ride the swings many many times!  Ha!
After Six Flags, Jason took us to a taqueria downtown, and it did not disappoint!  We may have been the only Gringos in the entire place, but we had a delicious dinner...complete with horchata, one of my favs!!

We went shopping at an upscale mall one of the days, which made these two smile from ear to ear, complete with amazing ice cream sandwiches!!
Then...the Alamo, of course!  I did a bit of reading about the Alamo before we went to help get some context...it's really quite fascinating honestly...we celebrate something where we lost and nearly everyone died at the Alamo...but it was a catalyst for Texas' independence for sure.

San Antonio Riverwalk...to be honest, I was a bit underwhelmed...it was pretty, but not really what I expected.  Maybe if we would have stopped and grabbed a meal overlooking the river that would have been better...not sure.
Lunch at the largest Mexican market outside of Mexico...had a delicious traditional Mexican lunch...

Jason and I took a couple hikes on one of our afternoons and saw some pretty views.  It was great just to be together and see more of San Antonio.

Napolitano pizza for dinner.  Jason definitely did his homework on this trip, finding the most delicious places to eat dinner.  We ate outside, which is one of my favorite things to do and ate amazing pizza!
