Kids Christmas Program

Always a GREAT joy to listen to our elementary school music program.  (Because we have 4 kids, Jason has counted that we will attend 14!!! of these before we are done...thanks Bennett!). This was Bennett's first one, and he did awesome (of course!).  He didn't want to wear the sweater, said he didn't like it and it was too big, didn't want the socks I put out for him...oh boy!  He gave me an entire speech about how he could wear Michigan State stuff if it was nice because it was green, but NOT Michigan because it was blue.  He COULD wear Wisconsin stuff if he had a shirt, because it was red.  This boy and his sports love.  I wonder who he got that from???

The highlight of the program is that the 4th and 5th graders always sing O Holy Night.  There is a coveted solo at the beginning, and out of 61 kids that auditioned for the solo, Ruthie was the backup.  I was incredibly proud of her, as the solo usually goes to a 5th grader.  She was poised and ready, but didn't sing Tuesday night.  Just the same...so so proud!!

December is just BUSY.  Between 3 holiday concerts between the 4 kids, I did a party for the kids that serve at our church, we have a full team party for our Dream Team at church, a staff Christmas party for church, Bennett's birthday, etc etc etc....I'm counting the days for break!  Phew!
