Well, all good things must come to an end...

After an amazing soccer season, where the boys were seeded FIRST in their District, earning them an initial bye, they lost Wednesday night in the District Finals.  It was a heartbreaking loss, just 0-1, and hard to think it's the seniors' last game.  Bryce took it hard, as he takes every loss...but actually took only day off and he's back at the Y prepping for basketball season.

Bryce saw incredible growth in his sophomore year, starting every game at Center Back and playing on a very strong and young defensive line (freshman, sophomore, sophomore, and junior) along with a sophomore goalie.  He had to adjust quickly to a different position and a much faster game pace (these upper classman high schoolers are GROWN MEN!!).    It was a very grueling schedule, 6 days a week of practice/weighlifting and games twice a week.  It's been full throttle since the first week of August.  The discipline and life lessons that sports gives you is really unparalleled and I'm thankful for it.  So many teachable moments this year and to come.  Bryce has one week "off" before basketball conditioning starts, so here's to a little breather before we are back at it!!

Proud of you Bryce!!  Great great season!!
