Oh the soccer

We have been in soccer crazy land this spring.  After last spring and nothing, we are so thankful, but man, we have been everywhere.  Jason and I have been "together" most weekends, but by together,  I mean in the same geographical location.  With Jason assistant coaching both Ruth and Bryce's teams, I watch him across the field, drive separate most times, and leave early/come late getting other kiddos where they need to be.  But, I do love the sport of soccer, and my kids are so fun to watch on the fields.  Bryce won the championship at a tournament over the weekend and Ruthie narrowly lost to a really good time on Sunday that would have put her in the championship game!  Bryce with his incredible height gets the advantage of headers in the net and long strides that enable him to catch up with runners  which is amazing to watch.  Ruthie is a defenseman, and is incredibly fast and tough.  Ruthie has been playing up an age division for the third year in a row, and this year, she has had many times where she has just gone flying playing aggressive and on the ball.  Super proud of these kids and to Jason, who works a demanding tough job and then spends hours upon hours on the soccer fields during the weeks.  This is our last weekend of games and then we "rest" over the summer.  And by rest, I mean one week off before tryouts and then the whole thing starts over again...ahem!    I do love these 3!!
