A few more Miami pics
We spent 4 nights at a Marriott Vacation Club, which was super because it had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen. Lots more space to spread out compared to our 2 queen bed hotel rooms the previous 3 nights. The weather continued to warm up during our stay, and although the beach was rather windy the entire time we were there, it was warm and sunny!
Bennett lost another front tooth on vacation, and it's just the cutest!
Our last day in Miami, we went to Crandon Beach, and while it was windy, it was wonderful! We even paid $30 to rent beach chairs while we were there...oh Miami...
New Year's Eve and some special ice cream. Overall, Florida is a more open state than home, but we wore masks inside any store or restaurant (per posted signs). We could eat out there, but even in Key West, there were police on the streets enforcing the masks. People all over the beach even where it was not enforced had masks on.
Downtown Doral on New Year's Eve.
What a fun surprise to have one of Ruthie's friends' dads as our pilot for the way home. Out of thousands of Southwest pilots, we got to have Bob as our pilot! That was so fun! We would have stopped for more pics, but we had to Home Alone run through the airport in Baltimore to catch our connecting flight. We had some maintenance issues in Miami which delayed us...and as I checked, our flight was the only direct flight home that day, and we would be delayed by 9 hours if we had to take 2 additional planes to get home. As we heard our flight being announced over the intercom, we took to running to our gate to catch it and were so thankful. Of course, not before sitting on the plane with maintenance issues in Baltimore first....of course! Thankful for a safe and great trip home...to snow!
Here's a couple late ones from Jason's phone. Our resort had access to the Trump National resort across the street, so we ventured over there one day to enjoy their pool. Bennett, Ruthie, Bryce and I went down the waterside and enjoyed that a lot too!!
I'm SO glad I booked this vacation, it was a wonderful time away, and who knows...this might become an annual trip! The sun, warmth and relaxing was so amazing and so needed.
