At the last minute, we decided to join Jason's family up north for a couple days of vacation before school started back up. It was so nice to be together and be away before the craziness of fall is upon us!
The first day, we met them up at the ferry to head over to Mackinac Island. I haven't been to the island since I was a teen, so I loved going back and taking the kids there. Ruthie and I rode around the island on a tandem (a little reminiscent of my sister and I doing the same thing many many moons ago). Although, I do think she spent much of the time coasting in the back, as I had a hard time keeping up with the rest of the family and they were not on the speedy trip.
