A summer of reconnection

This summer was such a gift to me to visit with my mentors from college, and then to have breakfast with my clarinet teacher from undergrad while we were in AA for some soccer games for Ruthie.  I suppose it might sound weird that I would reconnect with Bill, but he was much more than my clarinet teacher over the years.  I lived with his family the summer after grad school and nannied their 2 boys, and babysat quite a bit over my years in college.  I have so many fond memories of Bill and his family from my college years, it was such a gift to meet him for breakfast and catch back up!  As I get older, I really treasure people and especially people that have held so much value to me over the years and blessed my life.  So good to see you, Bill!!
We had a little window before Ruthie’s game on Sunday, and we caught the 1st half of the Michigan women’s soccer game, which was really fun to watch them play.  Ruthie really has some incredible teammates and families and she had a blast catching the game with them.  And, I watch so much soccer, and I really don’t tire of it, I loved it too!!
