another demotion

the kids had a grand ole time dressing up for halloween this year. we went to an event at our church (outside this year...it was frigid!), then to our friends' home. this was the first year we let reagan go door to door (she honestly just doesn't like all the scary things that halloween has to "offer"). she was so excited to return to daddy and remark "those people just gave me candy, daddy!". we have come into the motherload of candy at our home.....the real challenge will be figuring out how to keep MY hands out of the candy jar!
bryce's costume got so many chuckles, i'm not sure if the pictures do it justice. it looks like he's riding the horse, his legs are the back legs of the horse.

this is one of reagan's art projects from school. it was so cute, had little animal crackers in Noah's ark. it was displayed on our refrigerator and apparently was just too much temptation for Griffin...this is what i found on the fridge friday morning.....as bryce is looking at the picture right now, he is remarking "naughty, naughty!".

griffin has also scratched all sorts of paint off one of our basement doors and gouged the walls. i often leave him in the back bedroom in the basement when i have a sitter over or company because he usually gets into trouble when we are gone. apparently he decided to make his own trouble......he is in naughty mode!

maybe it's because he had to have a VERY close shave at the groomers a couple weeks ago. he apparently was so matted that he required a full shave. maybe he's embarrassed!

or maybe he realizes he is about to be demoted AGAIN as we prepare to welcome another precious Hall baby into our home....at the end of May. yep, you read it correct, baby #3 is on the way! we are excited...and a little nervous about being "outnumbered!". i had my first dr's appt on wednesday and got to see the baby on ultrasound, heartbeat and all. i'm feeling okay, off and on with the nausea business. i honestly can't remember feeling like this with either pregnancy, but when i ask jason he remembers i have felt like this each time. i guess that's why you keep wanting more, because you can't remember much negative about the experience!
