A little different winter

In my mind, we were going to be spending our time this winter in the gym watching Bryce play bball for his school Varsity Team.  After a long and drawn out tryout process (because the majority of the varsity boys were still in playoff football)...Bryce received the unfortunate cut from the team.  We knew tryouts would be very competitive, but I did think with his height and athleticism, he would make the team.  We knew he probably wouldn't play much, but Bryce understood that and always had a good attitude and worked hard at practice.  I think Bryce took the news better than both his parents did...haha!  He literally called me as he left the last bball practice, told me the news, went home, grabbed his soccer stuff and went right to the soccer fields with his new club team.  He walked up to his coach and reintroduced himself, saying, "Hey Coach, I'm Bryce, I just got cut from my varsity bball team, so I'm going to be here a lot more". His coach had the best response and said, 'That's the best introduction I've heard from a player'.  And off he went.

He is also playing some pickup bball through Young Life too, and a friend captured these awesome shots!!  So proud of his attitude and go with the flow demeanor!  That will really serve him well throughout his life.  Proud of you, son!!
