It's SO hot, I might as well update...
This has been a summer of adventure and I've just LOVED it! We have gone on little trips here and there and it's been so fun to explore this beautiful land together. One Saturday, we had no plans, so up we went to Ludington for the day. It is a beautiful city, right on Lake Michigan. We took the 3.8 mile roundtrip hike out to the Big Sable Lighthouse. Jason was a real trooper and pushed the stroller on the sandy trail out there!

Jason, Reagan, and Bryce climbed to the top of the lighthouse and waved to Ruth and I below. It is a spiral staircase on the way up, so you aren't allowed to carry anyone, so we stayed behind.
After our lighthouse excursion, we took the kids to the beach and they had such a great time playing in the water. The water was nearly 70 degrees and refreshing, so a great time was had by all!!
On other news, Ruth has decided she's finally ready to walk the majority of the time. It's hard to say exactly when she started "walking", because she's been taking steps here and there since her birthday. But, for most of the time, crawling was faster, so she chose that route. But, now she's walking more and more. She's also quite speedy on the steps and can disappear from the floor you are on in an instant!! She somehow has taught herself how to get down too, and I've also caught her doing the reverse. I'm very thankful that in our home both sets of staircases are broken, so if she were to tumble, it would only be a few steps and she would be on another carpeted landing!! She's a busy little thing...and loves that she can keep up with Reagan and Bryce.
I'm off to make dinner...gotta split!!
